sleeping next to you.

last night i hardly slept at all and it had nothing to do with my bladder or my over active brain or my annoying song singing subconscious or my lacking in the ability to sleep. it had everything to do with my sleeping buddy and his inability to stop moving. and also the fact that when he finally did stop moving he stopped on my side of the bed all spread out and leaving just inches between me and the edge of the bed. this is a new issue i havent encountered before without at least one of us being incredibly drunk. i think it is more frustrating not being able to sleep when it's someone elses fault than when it's your own. especially when you've been sleeping really well. T2 sleep tight is miracle tea. and today was really busy for me as well. and a lot earlier than im used to. i went to see my first film at the melbourne international film festival. it was called our city dreams and i have decided to become an artsist. the film focused on 5 female artsists who all worked in new york at some point in their careers and it seemed amazing and inspiring and something i can feel pationate about when im not sleeping.
and when im successful i can put on a shpw, sell heaps of pieces and then sleep all day.

sleeping with the lights out.

you could say that in my silence i've literally turned the lights out. i have until quite recently been sleeping really well but until quite recently i have always been sleeping with either someone else in my bed or at least someone else in the house/flat/building i'm sleeping in. but a couple of weeks ago my roommate moved out and although things are relatively the same, i havent been sleeping very well knowing that there's no-one else in the house.
i went to T2 last week and got some tea called sleep tight and the first two nights it worked really well, but on those two occassions i was sleeping with a bed buddy. the last two nights havent been so successful and i've been trying different combinations of sleep tight and relax tea and have found that i have a really bad bladder for retaining tea at night time.
i guess i'll have to find something stronger than tea to help me sleep. hopefully it can continue being something legal and healthy.
but for now im thinking of a new night time time killer. i've just been watching lots of tv series. im currently working my way through friends, sex and the city, and arrested development as well as a long list of old films. maybe my new found business with uni, work and volunteering for the film festival will make me too tired to not sleep. i guess we'll find out.
